Ballymore made the long trip to Carbury for their fourth game in the U12 league. Carbury were straight into the game with quick passing and clever movement. Ballymore were struggling to compete and it wasn’t long before Carbury got the scoreboard ticking over. The home side continued pushing forward and five minutes before half-time Carbury were ahead 4.4 to no score. However, in a purple patch for Ballymore the visitors scored two great goals and a fine point to leave the score at half time at 4.4 to 2.1.
The second half saw Carbury continue to dominate and they had added another 3.5 to their score before Ballymore replied with a point coming to the end of the game. Carbury got the final point of the game to complete their win. Despite the loss the performance of the Ballymore team was highly creditable given they were playing the senior Carbury U12 team and were, on average, a year younger than their opponents.
