Moorefield 2-03 Ballymore Eustace 3-14

A fantastic win for the U16 girls against Moorefield on April 6 at Ballymore pitch.  Ballymore got off to a great start scoring a goal in the first couple of minutes. The scoring continued and at half time Ballymore were ahead by 1-04. A half time chat from the Moorefield management seen the Moorefield girls change tactics but a strong defence line and great goalkeeping by Sophie O’Neill proved too much for them and their scoreline.Moorefield’s goalkeeper also stopped a number of Ballymore scores but in the end the girls’ team spirit played out on the scoreboard, Ballymore 3-14 Moorefield 2-03. Ella Clohessey (1-0), Mayah Doyle (1-05), Aibhe Graham (0-05), Tara Winder (0-01), Yasmin Browne (0-02), Katie Lipset (1-01)  

U16’s Girls – Ballymore 3-07 V Castlemitchell 8-10 – March 13th  2019

Ballymore’s U16 girls finally got to play their first match of the season against Castlemitchell on March 13th.  A wet, cold, wintry evening, with only twelve players, Ballymore battled hard  but the maturity and experience of Castlemitchell proved too much for them.  The end scoreline didn’t reflect the spirit and determination displayed by the Ballymore girls on the night.
