Ballymore got off to a flying start with an early goal, however, Sarsfields responded with three points before Ballymore took the lead again with a point. Once again Sarsfields pushed forward and managed to score two goals and a point before Ballymore responded with a goal. The home side were under pressure for the rest of the half with Sarsfields getting a further four points before the break.
Sarsfields opened the second half with another point but Ballymore were pushing hard and scored another goal and a point before Sarsfields responded with the same. The final quarter saw Ballymore score their final goal with the visitors responding with a goal of their own. Ballymore came back with a point but Sarsfields got a goal to extend their lead. The game finished with both sides trading points.
