The minor girls played Moorefield in the last round of the minors in BME today. A win would put them at the top of the leader board and guarantee BME a home semi-final. The first quarter saw the girls score (0 – 04) and keep Moorefield off the scoreboard.
BME were proving to be the stronger team by scoring another (1 – 01) before Moorefield put two points away before half time.
The third quarter seen both sides go back and forth trading points. Moorefield were last to put a point over the bar before going into the last quarter, leaving BME with a four-point lead.
Last quarter BME were to score a final (1 – 04) and kept a clean sheet. There were some great saves by both goalies on the day and a great match to watch. Final score BME (2 – 11) Moorefield (0 – 06)
