FT: Castlemitchell (2 – 03) Ballymore-Eustace (3 – 16)
Minor girls were away to Castlemitchell for their second match of the league. It was about 10 minutes into the first 15 before either team scored. BME were first to succeed and put three over in quick succession before Castlemitchell were back up the pitch to get their first point at the first water break.
The second quarter BME began to extend their lead by scoring one goal and four points to Castlemitchell’s (1 – 01), rounding off half time Castlemitchell (1 – 02) BME (1 – 07).
Catlemitchell came out fighting after their half time talk scoring a goal and reducing BME lead to two points. However, BME were back with two points before another point from Castlemitchell. BME finished off the third quarter with another (1 – 01) and giving them a 7-point lead going into the last 15.
BME stretched their lead in the last quarter and scored another (1 – 06) and kept Castlemitchell off the board. Final score Castlemitchell (2 – 03) BME (3 – 16). Super stuff!
