FT: Ballymore – Eustace (4 – 08) Cappagh (2 – 05)
Ballymore scored the first point from the throw in. Mayah Doyle scored her second point shortly after. A great block by Anna Flaherty and Eimear McCann, was scooped up by Grace Cowley and kicked outfield. Cappagh were to get their first point before Ballymore popped two more over. Cappagh got another (1 – 02) before the first water break giving them a one-point lead.
Straight away Cappagh put another goal away before a super pass from Lilly Clohessy to Mayah gave Ballymore their first goal. Tuula Keary was up next with a point before Daire Graham gave Ballymore their second goal. A great flick of the ball from Tuula passed it on to Daire. From there, Daire buried the ball in the top right-hand corner of the goal and into the back of the net. Half time score BME (3 – 05) Cappagh (2 – 03).
The third quarter BME’s goalie, Eimear McCann, had a brilliant save keeping Cappagh off the board. Ballymore were kept off the score sheet too.
The last fifteen sees Ballymore scoring a further (1 – 03) to Cappagh’s two points. Final whistle: Ballymore-Eustace (4 – 08) Cappagh (2 – 05).
