FT: Leixlip (1 – 13) Ballymore – Eustace (4 – 10)
Leixlip were first off the mark with a point when Ballymore’s Tuula Keary responded with a goal. Two more from Leixlip brought the team’s level. Ballymore were back up the pitch for another point before three more points from Leixlip. Ballymore scored another (1 – 01) before the first water break to bring them level.
A great pass from Eimear Mooney to Mayah Doyle gave Ballymore the first score in the second quarter. Leixlip were back with a goal before both teams rounded off with a point each, Leixlip going into half time with a two-point lead.
The third quarter Ballymore scored a further (1 – 03) to Leixlip’s three points. Ballymore were going into the last quarter ahead by one.
The last fifteen from Ballymore showed some great ball work by scoring a further (2 – 02). A couple of terrific blocks from Ella Clohessy and Mayah Doyle and a great save from the goalie Aoife Clarke meant Leixlip only scored another three points. Ballymore secured their first win.
