Junior B Championship Ladies – Round 6

FT: Ballymore – Eustace (0 – 19)  Castlemitchell (2 – 01)

Ballymore were quick off the mark with four points before they conceded a penalty to Castlemitchell.  Dawn saved the penalty but Castlemitchell got their goal from the rebound. Great ball work from Ballymore earned them three more points before the first water break.

Ballymore held their own in the second quarter by scoring a further three points and keeping Castlemitchell off the board.  They had a seven-point lead heading into half time.   

Ballymore had a solid start to the second half by scoring five points before they were to concede another penalty, giving Castemitchell an additional goal.  Ballymore went on to score four more points before the last quarter, with the final point from Emily McKeown.

There was only one score in the last fifteen minutes, which came from Castlemitchell.  A great scoreline from the girls with the last round of the championship to be held next Saturday. 

Congratulations to Sophie O’Neill on her first outing with ladies.
