Reserve C Championship Round 2
FT: Ballymore 4-14 Sallins 2-09
Gerry Fennell scored the first point of the match then Sallins got a goal and a point. Gerry got another for Ballymore then Sallins got their second point. Eoin Kavanagh scored Ballymore’s first goal to level the match, then he followed with a point and another goal to put us 2-03 to 1-02 ahead. Eoin Lyons and Eoin Kavanagh scored one more point each just before the first water break, leaving it 2-05 to 1-02 after the first quarter.
Ballymore’s third goal came from Gerry Fennell then Sallins responded with two points. Eoin Lyons scored the last point of the first half. Half time Ballymore 3-06 Sallins 1-04.
Darragh Gilroy got the first point of the second half then Sallins scored the next two. Ballymore got three more from Eoin Kavanagh, Darragh Gilroy and Jordan Deegan. Second half water break Ballymore 3-10 Sallins 1-06.
Ballymore’s next point came from Darragh Gilroy then Sallins scored another. Points from Evan Keogh and Eoin Kavanagh put us 12 ahead going into the final stages. Sallins got the next point then Ballymore’s 4th goal came from Stuie Byrne. Evan Keogh got our next point then Sallins scored another one. Sallins got a goal just before full time but it was Ballymore who came out well on top with an 11 point win in the end. FT: Ballymore 4-14 Sallins 2-09.
The lads are now through to the semi finals of the championship next weekend. Fixture TBC.
