first on the board with a point before BME got one over. Both teams scored three points with BME rounding off the first quarter with another point.
Athy came out after the first water break and scored a point bringing them level. The teams kept the scoring close with BME getting 2 – 02 to Athy’s 1 – 2 with a goal in it at half time.
Third quarter BME scored five points to Athy’s goal and two points keeping BME’s lead of three points.
Heading into the final fifteen, BME began to pull away by scoring three goals and two points before Athy responded with two points. BME got their last score, a point, before the final score of the night from Athy. A great win and superb scoring, well done Ladies!! Thanks to the Management team Christy, Pat, Tom and Emer.
