Carbury travelled to Ballymore for the opening game of the Seanie Barber Division 4 league. The visitors got off to a flying start scoring 1-1 within a few minutes but Ballymore kept the scoreboard ticking over and were just one point behind when Carbury netted for the second time. The home team kept plugging away and were only one point behind at half time.
As the game restarted Carbury were looking to extend their advantage but the opposition defence was rock solid and the second half saw Ballymore hitting top gear in attack. Some fantastic passing between the Ballymore players created multiple opportunities which they managed to convert to goals on four occasions.
The teams traded three points each in the second half with Carbury pushing until the very end but by that stage the victory was secured for Ballymore.
