Round 3 of the Championship, Ballymore faced Newtown Gaels in Eadestown. The last meeting with Newtown Gaels was the League Semi Final earlier in the year and Newtown Gaels had the win. Ballymore knew they had a battle on their hands. The first half saw Newtown Gaels on top. The half time score was BME 0-7, Newtown Gaels 2-07. Throw in for the second half saw our BME lads come to life and turned the game around. Newtown Gaels didn’t know what hit them. An amazing come back from our lads. Final score BME 2-22, Newtown Gaels 2-08.
