The Ballyteague U8’s travelled to Ballymore for the second game of the Southboard league. A large crowd gathered for this match and they got to witness a very exciting game. The beginning of the first quarter saw Ballymore go on the attack and get their reward with a couple of clinical finishes from their forward line. Ballyteague soon reorganised and were breaking into the Ballymore half with the hosts scrambling their defence to deal with the threat.
The second quarter saw a couple of good Ballymore attempts again but Ballyteague were starting to get the upper hand. The third quarter was very evenly contested and it was all to play for going into the last quarter. Both sides were chasing the win for this last quarter and the players from both sides gave it their all with some genuinely spectacular scores to end the game.
Well done to the supporters from both sides who applauded the efforts of both teams throughout the game.
