A great display of football from the senior ladies in their second outing of the championship, the girls played away in Athy on the 18th June. Ballymore started very strong by getting 1 – 06 on the board before Athy retaliated with 0-02. Ballymore continued to dominate the first half leaving half time score Ballymore (2 – 10) Athy (0 – 03)
Ballymore continued to score in the second half with another 6 points. Great defence from the girls shown throughout the match held Athy off until the closing minutes when they got a goal and a point.
