Our u13 girls welcomed an unbeaten Milltown on Thursday evening in the U13 league. We knew we’d have a tough task on our hands, but Ballymore were ready and able for that task.
Ballymore got off to a great start with a goal from Hannah O’ Meara and a point from Caoilinn Cooke.
Milltown tried hard to get the ball up into their forwards but our back line stood strong and resisted attack after attack with Milltown only scoring one point in the first half.
Our forwards were more successful and we managed to add another 2 goals from Ellie Shannon and Chloe Flynn along with 2 points from Aoife McCaffrey and Ellie Shannon. Leaving the half time score at 3-03 to 0-01 in favour of Ballymore.
Milltown came out fighting in the second half and managed to outscore Ballymore by 5 points to 2, but luck was on our side on the night with the final score of 3-05 to 0-06 in favour of Ballymore.
