Raheens V Ballymore Eustace – Junior B Championship

FT: Raheens (4 – 18) BME (2 – 18)
Second Round of the Championship for the ladies was held in Raheens on the 14th September.
Ballymore were first off the mark, scoring three points before Raheens brought them level with a goal. Additional point from each team with another goal from Raheens before the first water.
Raheens made great strides for the next 15, by scoring 1 – 09 to Ballymore’s 4 points leaving half time score Raheens (3 – 10) BME (0 – 08).
Third quarter BME held the teams’ level again with both teams scoring five points each.
Going into the final quarter BME were first to score with a goal. Raheens put two more over before BME scored another three. Raheens then returned with a point. BME them scored a goal and two points with about five minutes to go leaving only one goal in it. Unfortunately, the Raheens ladies managed to finish up with another goal.
Final score Raheens (4 – 18) BME (2 – 18). Great spirit shown by the ladies right to the end. Brilliant scoring! Round 3 will be in Ballymore 25 September against Athy.
