Team: U14 girls Final
Date: 6 July 2019
Venue: Hawkfield, Newbridge
Result: Ballymore Eustace (3 – 08) Kilcock (6 – 05)
Hard luck to Ballymore Eustace U14 girls who travelled to Hawkfield to play against Kilcock in the final on Saturday 6 July. It was about 10 minutes of play before the first score was registered, Ballymore Eustace managed to score two points in quick succession before Kilcock replied with a goal. Scoring continued with Kilcock maintaining their lead of a goal. Twenty minutes in Kilcock started to pull away giving a half time score of (3 – 03) Kilcock to (0 – 05) Ballymore.
Kilcock came out with great confidence after their half time talk, scoring a point and shortly after two goals to Ballymore’s three points. However, Ballymore’s U14 girls were not ready to give up and they managed to pull back with three goals (one from a penalty) to leave the final whistle Kilcock (6 – 05) to BME (3 – 08). It was brilliant to see such team spirit from these girls as always. Many thanks to Dave, Tracey and John for their hard work and time during the year and to the great support they received from the sideline on the day.
Scorers: Daire Graham (1 – 01), Eimear Mooney (0 – 01), Mayah Doyle (2 – 06)
