In Athy

Following a heavy defeat to Suncroft in their first match our U16 girls travelled to Athy on Monday evening.

With only 15 players available on the night the pressure was on.

Athy got off to a good start with a goal very early on, but our girls were ready to battle.

They fought hard for every ball winning vital possession and getting some great scores.

At half time the score was Ballymore 3-04 Athy 3-05.

A few changes made all the difference in the second half, with our girls really believing that they could get the better of the Athy.

Final score on the night was Ballymore 9-09, Athy 4-07.
