St. Kevins GAA – Minor ladies – Division 5

FT: St. Kevins (1 – 07) BME (5 – 10)

Due to the weather, the girls’ first home match, had to be held in St. Kevin’s GAA.  Within minutes St.  Kevin’s conceded a penalty resulting in the girl’s first goal.  St Kevin’s girls settled into the match and responded with (1 – 02) before BME scored a point.  The two teams traded points keeping the scoreboard afloat and left only two points in it at halftime.  St Kevins (1 – 07) BME (2 – 05).

The BME girls seemed to get into their stride in the second half and scored a goal from a free with another one to follow.  BME forwards kept the scoreline ticking over and St. Kevin’s kept the defense on their toes with our goalie making a number of great saves.  The match finished up St Kevins (1 – 07) BME (2 – 05)  Many thanks to St. Kevin’s for hosting the match.

Bhí céad cluiche baile na cailíní ar siúl i St. Kevins CLG de bharr an aimsir. Ghéill St. Kevins cic píonóis laistigh don chéad cúpla nóiméad agus bhí cúl ag BME ar an scórchlár de bharr. Shocraigh an fhoireann eile iad féin agus scór siad (1 – 02) roimh a fhreagair BME le cúilín amháin. Thrádáil an dá fhoireann cúilíní roimh dheireadh an leath, ag fágáil dhá chúilín eatarthu. Scór Leath-Ama: St Kevins (1 – 07) BME (2 – 05).

Tháinig BME amach sa dara leath i bhfad níos láidire ná mar a bhí, ag scóráil cúl ó cic saor agus cúl eile i ndiaidh sin. Choimead ár dtosaí ag cur leis an scórchlár agus cur St Kevins brú ar gcúlaí BME. Rinne ár gcúlbaire roinnt sábháil iontach. Chríochnaigh an cluiche, St Kevins (1 – 07) BME (2 – 05).
