Minors Girls V Rathangan – Division 4

FT: Rathangan (2 – 08) BME (6 – 18)

Ballymore Minors girls were away to Rathangan for the 2^nd round of the league.  Rathangan were first on the board with a point before BME returned with three scores in quick succession a goal and two points.  The scores were tit for tat, four scores each, 4 points BME but 2- 02 for Rathangan bringing the teams level for first time in the match.  

However, BME began to extend their lead scoring another (1 – 03) before a great save from our goalie keeping the girls ahead going into the second half.  The last score went to Rathangan, a point, leaving the half time score Rathangan (2 – 04) BME (2 – 09).  

Second half the two teams rallied from the beginning trading 2 points apiece before the BME girls dug in and scored (2 – 06) before Rathangan were back up the pitch with an additional two points.  This was to be there last with BME wrapping up the game with a further (2 – 01) leaving the final score line Rathangan (2 – 08) BME (6 – 18).  Great performance and super team work from the girls.
