Junior B Championship Ladies – Round 4

FT: Milltown (1 – 13) Ballymore – Eustace (2 – 11)

This was a super match from the beginning with both sides hunger for the win.  A super block by Ballymore’s Amy Horan in the first minute resulted in the first score of the game from Katelyn Gallagher. Milltown scored the next three points before Ballymore got another point on the board.  Milltown wrapped up the first water break with another score giving them a two-point lead.

The second quarter seen both sides get two additional points before Milltown conceded a penalty.  The ball met the crossbar but a point was scored from the rebound.  One final point from BME sees them level at half time with six points apiece.    

Ballymore started to pull away in the third quarter when Milltown conceded another two penalties, putting two goals our way. Milltown scored three points to our two, with BME going into the final quarter with a five-point lead.

The last 15 was nail biting, when Milltown returned with (1 – 03), giving them a one-point lead. BME got three more points, before Milltown got their final point, and the final whistle was blown.
