Fixture: Keogh Cup v Sallin
FT: Sallins 1-16 Ballymore 2-05
Ballymore got off to a great start with a goal from Tadhg Barrett. Sallins replied with two points from Paul Farrelly and one from Jack Sharkey to level the game. Ballymore’s Niall Murphy and Sharkey traded points at either end then a great point from Keith Fennell put Ballymore one ahead again.
It was all Sallins for the rest of the first half. With a strong wind they scored seven points in a row, five from Farrelly, one from Sharkey and one from Craig Johnson. Half time Sallins 0-11 Ballymore 1-02.
It was a strong start to the second half for Ballymore. They scored a point from Shane Barrett, followed by a Niall Murphy goal to reduce the gap to two. We then leveled the game after two more points, one from Niall Murphy and one from Enda Stewart Byrne. Ballymore 2-05 Sallins 0-11.
Sallins then scored five points in a row, one from Emmet Ralph, two from Jack Sharkey and two from substitute Conor Herbert. They then scored a goal from Paul Farrelly in the dying minutes to make the full time score Sallins 1-16 Ballymore 2-05.
The lads now play away to Clogherinkoe in the final round of the group stages next Saturday.
