Ballymore U9’s made the short trip to Kilcullen for their first Southboard group 4 league game. After such a long wait the kids were delighted to be back in action and their enthusiasm was very apparent on the pitch.
Ballymore had some great chances in the opening quarter but a number of these went just wide of the posts. After some end to end play Kilcullen started to put the pressure on and finished the half stronger.
The visitors came out strong in the second half and this time they had found their shooting boots putting over some lovely scores, however, Kilcullen’s finishing was equally as classy. The hosts started turning the screw late in the half but some fantastic saves from the Ballymore goalie kept them at bay.
The overall performance from the two sides was very impressive with both teams doing their clubs proud.
Well done to all on a great game!
