BME v Athy, Sunday 17th November 2019.
All roads lead to St. Conleth’s Grounds for the meeting of Athy and Ballymore Eustace for the U21 final.
A bright and bitterly cold day as the whistle blew for the start. Ballymore were first to get the scoring going with 3 points in the first 5 minutes. Athy soon followed suit and pulled away from BME . By half time Ballymore were two behind, BME 0-6 Athy 0-8. The two goals for each team came in the second half, ours came from Tadhg Barrett, and what a cracker it was. At the full time whistle the scores were even. We have 20mins extra time and Athy just steamed ahead. Final score Athy 1 -18 ; BME 1-13
Hard luck to our lads and thanks to Shane Kavanagh and Gareth Clarke, Stephen Dwyer and Keith Conway.
