Venue: Round Towers
Ballymore travelled to Round Towers for their last away game in the Coiste na nÓg U11 league. Ballymore were playing with the help of a very strong breeze in the first half and managed to get the scoreboard ticking over straight away. However, the hosts were counter attacking effectively using quick hand passing and at the half time whistle hadn’t let Ballymore get too far ahead despite the visitors wind advantage.
In the second half Towers were pressing hard but Ballymore were defending resolutely with everyone on the team doing their bit. The Ballymore players were now employing the handpass to great effect and despite the strong wind were able to get up the pitch and take some great scores. Credit to both sides for a very competitive game in really testing conditions.
