Ballymore U11’s hosted Dunlavin for a challenge match on Monday evening. The visitors got off the mark first but Ballymore replied with three in a row. Dunlavin were pressing hard and getting stronger as the half progressed. Despite valiant efforts in defence Ballymore were well behind by the time the half time whistle went.
With the beginning of the second half came a resurgent Ballymore. The team lay siege to the Dunlavin goal for the first ten minutes of the half and managed to eliminate the deficit. Dunlavin then managed to start pushing out of defence with the game swinging back and forward between both teams until the end.
Thanks to Dunlavin for making the trip to Ballymore for this evenly contested game and a special thank you to Éimear Mooney on her refereeing debut.
