Senior Ladies 1st round of the Championship was played at home on the 23rd May against Milltown. From the outset Ballymore knew it was going to be a tough challenge, hard hitting and fast paced.
Ballymore started with the first score three minutes into the game from Lesley Tutty. It was tit for tat after that with a goal and points being scored both ends leaving half time – Milltown (1 – 07) to Ballymore’s (1 – 06).
Second half Ballymore pulled ahead by a couple of points a few times but Milltown managed to keep in the game and after a tightly contested match the Senior Ladies drew. It was a very exciting match to watch from the side-line.
